SIP hosted the “5G+Industrial Internet” Promotion Conference on July 27 in the hope of promoting integrated application of 5G and industrial Internet technologies in local industrial enterprises so that they can improve their operation and production efficiency.

At the event, SIP authorities released SIP’s Measures of Supporting Integrated Development of 5G and Industrial Internet Technologies and the planning map for integrated application of the technologies in SIP.

Apart from that, SIP Administrative Committee signed agreements with China Academy of Information and Communications Technology and the Suzhou branches of the Chinese telecom giants China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom to launch cooperation in 10 industrial Internet projects. Besides, the telecom companies’ innovation centers for 5G and industrial Internet integration were inaugurated, and SIP Digital Economy Association was established.

The event also included an exhibition where thirty-eight 5G and industrial Internet service suppliers showcased their services and projects.
